Kista Lynn Patterson is a wife and mother. Married since 1988 to Pastor and District Superintendent Richard E. Patterson, Sr. Her two sons Richard II and Stephen and one daughter Krysta, work alongside as well as in the church.
She is the author of the newly released book titled "The Power of the Lord Was Present" her life story detailing a journey being raised by her mother and grandparents to her life in Christ.
While being educated in the Chicago Public Schools, Kista Patterson visited St. Samuel Temple Church of God in Christ under the leadership of the late Pastor Samuel Patterson. Shortly after she was saved and filled with the baptism of the Holy Ghost. This power enabled Kista to mature in Christ, face her struggles and prepare her for new struggles as detailed in her book.
